Chartering Coordinator
Born in 9th February 1960 in Canakkale. Graduated from Merchant Marine Academy – Istanbul in 1981. Thereafter, immediately joined to Turkish Forces Command as a reserve officer (second Lieutenant) rank for the duration of 16 months. Spend almost 11 years mostly on Dry Cargo Vessels as an Officer and Captain. In October 1993 he started working at Bumerang Chartering as a dry cargo shipbroker. Thereafter, in October 1994 he joined to Levent Shipping the then chartering branch of Deval as chartering manager. Since 1994 still serving in the same field within Deval Group Istanbul. He is married with a daughter.
Chartering Manager (Fleet A)
Born in 1985 Rize. Graduated from Near East University, departmen of Deck – North Cyprus in 2009. He has worked as 2nd Officer on boards after graduation under group of Deval Companies and further Chief Officer. After serving on vessels for about four years, he then decided to take further education and studied Master’s Degree, MSc Shipping and Logistics at Solent University, UK, in 2013/14. After graduation, he returned to Istanbul in January 2015 and he has worked as Chartering and Operations Manager in Deval Group of companies and joined in Devbulk in January 2021 as Chartering Manager.
Chartering Manager
Ufuk was born and raised in Alexandroupoli, Greece, he graduated from the Maritime Faculty of Bulent Ecevit University (Türkiye) in 2016. He began his professional career in Greece at a trading company. After relocating to Istanbul in 2019, he gained extensive experience in operations and chartering within both trading houses and shipowning companies. In December 2025, he joined Devbulk, bringing with him a well-rounded background in the commercial side of the maritime industry.
Chartering Manager
Born on 2 May 1980 in Erzincan, Türkiye, he graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Maritime Faculty in 2003. Following his graduation, he served as an ocean going officer on various merchant vessels for four years. In 2007, he transitioned ashore and began his career in ship chartering as a Chartering Broker. Over the past 19 years, he has held positions as a Chartering Broker and Chartering Manager at a number of shipowning companies, including operating his own shipbroking company for nine years. As of July 2026, he joined Devbulk as a member of the Chartering Department. He is married and is the father of two sons.
Freight Futures
Based in Devbulk’s London office, David has 20 years experience in Energy and Dry Bulks Markets, dealing across physical and financial products. Graduating in 2000 from Sheffield Hallam University David joined the graduate scheme at EDF Group in London before moving on to the coal sourcing desk. He specialized in trading coal futures and then moved to Peabody Coaltrade in 2007, first in London and then from 2010 to 2015 in Singapore. Trading both physical and financial coal and freight. For the last 6 years he has been head of a broking desk at Freight Investor Services in London until moving to Devbulk in 2023. David is married and lives in South West London.
